The design draws on the traditional kadwa kaam technique, an intricate brocade-weaving method in which additional weft threads are interlaced to create elaborate patterns. Historically, this painstaking process involved two weavers working in tandem to manipulate the threads by hand. Over time, the use of a jala — a specialised harness attached to the loom — enabled the controlled lifting and lowering of warp threads, allowing complex designs to be woven with remarkable precision.
